The 1/6HP Series SR is our most popular motor and runs at speeds up to 18,000 RPM. It combines the most important features you our customers expect, power, reversibility, reliability, and versatility, all into one motor.
More Power: The 1/6 hp, ball bearing Series SR has 33% more power than older 1/8 hp motors, and 66% more than the original 1/10 hp models. The added power helps to reduce stalling or slowing down under normal workloads.
Reversible: This great feature is not well understood by many of our users. Here are some of the advantages: Left handed users have more control of the cutting tool when in reverse. Reverse helps to keep dust and other debris flying away from right handed users. Alternating motor direction helps to extend the life of certain abrasives.Reverse helps with accomplishing symmetrical grinding and carving techniques.Reverse makes it easier to back out drill bits that are stuck.

This SRB come with standard 36" long flexible shafts and sheaths for connecting to any of Foredom's quick disconnect' hand pieces. The SRB is a bench style version of the Series SR motor and shares all of the same specifications. It operates in forward and reverse at speeds up to 18,000 rpm and comes supplied with Foredom's standard shaft and sheath. The FCT foot control included in this motor-control combination is a solid state control in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide footprint. The FREE hand piece ( $ 59.00 value) included is the general purpose H44.T hand piece - please review our line for other hand piece's that suit your other applications. The Foredom flex shaft system is designed to allow interchangeability of hand pieces. Collet sizes range are 3/16, 1/8, 1/4 inch for almost all offered hand pieces. Virtually eliminating the need for a Makita type or Dremel type tool, saving you money and time.
